 General Questions - Answers

1. How do I know this is not a fraud?        (Back to Top)

Without doubt this is the most important question:

Skepticism is a good thing, but when you are selling an out of this world product, and you're doing it on a legal basis with the best of intentions, skepticism can become a real problem. We do receive a few reasonable inquiries asking us if this is a joke. We know that the web contains several joke sites, as well as many dishonest sites designed for purely fraudulent purposes.

We would like to reassure you that these products are 100% legal to sell. However, due to the uniqueness of the product for sale here, we wish to give you this written reassurance. It is of course difficult to determine if this is a fraud while you are just sitting there surfing the net. We have been in the business of selling Lunar and Mars Property for many years. In all this time we have never had a single unsatisfied customer. We are very proud of this record. Two former US Presidents and several very prominent stars own their Lunar Property already. The worldwide press attention the Lunar Federation is getting is enormous.

Selling the Moon and Mars over the web must surely be one of the strangest things you will ever come across.

While on the subject of frauds we would like to take this chance to give you some useful tips to evade fraud on the Internet: Beware of pyramid schemes. Those are sites that say you have won a prize but want money up front before you can collect it. Some business opportunity schemes, "get rich quick" schemes, work at home schemes. These listed are the most common types of fraud on the Internet according to recent statistics.  And above all don't give your bank account number or social security number to anyone; unless you know the company and trust the company.

2. What is the Lunar Federation's legal basis for selling extraterrestrial properties?  (Back to Top)

Let's explain what the Lunar Federation is actually doing.  Lunar Federation supports a Lunar and Mars Colonization mission. The only way to secure property rights is to send a Lunar and Mars colonization mission to the Moon and Mars. That colony will then create the Lunar and Mars governments which in turn will secure property rights. These novel product proceeds from the website go towards that precise mission.

Contrary to accepted beliefs, ownership by individuals of extraterrestrial properties is not forbidden. The United Nations Outer Space Treaty of 1967 specifies that no government can own extraterrestrial property, but it neglected to mention individuals or corporations. The United Nations attempted to plug this loophole in 1984 by introducing the Moon Treaty.  The Moon Treaty forbids the exploitation of extraterrestrial resources including ownership for anyone. When it was up for vote, only 6 out of 185 United Nation Member Nations supported it. The majority refused to sign it. Imagine if we find oil, gold, or precious metals on the Moon for example. Should we prohibit its exploitation for the entire human race by law? Absolutely not!  So, to make a long story short, the loophole still exists today, and for a reason.

Therefore, one can become the legal owner of an extraterrestrial land

It's a bit similar to the old west. The group that stakes their claim on a piece of land first, gets it which is modeled on old American law. Such a claim must be registered with your local Lunar and Mars Governmental Office for claim registries. In regard to Lunar and Mars properties when the Moon and Mars is colonized and a government is established legal land claims can be established.

You might have heard that one man claims he owns the Moon and Mars. Well like we stated before only the Official Lunar and Mars Governments respectively can issue legal land claims and this man is selling land in a fraudulent manner.  This man claims he personally owns the Moon (we call him looney toons) because a county representative registered his ridiculous claim. Well that claim is way out of its Extraterrestrial jurisdiction.  No government on earth can issue land claims for property out of its jurisdiction. For example: That is like saying that the US government lay claim to land that’s in Russia. Do you think Russia would allow that? Of course not. Lunar Federation does not claim ownership of the Moon or Mars and we will never lay such a claim. Such a claim is ridiculous. We are selling novel products and the dream of space exploration.  We have filed a declaration with the United Nations which stated our intentions; The Declaration of Lunar and Mars Land Ownership for the Purpose of Colonization.  So we have informed the world of the intentions of the Lunar Federation.

This is the legal basis by which the Lunar Federation is selling extraterrestrial properties. For all these reasons, the Lunar Federation has been able to conduct our business without any reprimand from any Earth Based Government, which are well aware that the sale of extraterrestrial Property is going on. If two former United States presidents are satisfied Moon Property owners then how can you go wrong with that?

3. If this is for real, why is it a novel gift?   (Back to Top)

We use this statement in two perspectives: The first as defined in the American Heritage Dictionary: The quality of being novel: 1) something new and unusual and 2) a small mass-produced article. Property on the Moon and Mars unquestionably falls into all of those categories. The second context is based on what our lawyers explained to us years ago when this all started and informed us to include this to help avoid any frivolous lawsuits from a foreign country. This does not deteriorate the value of the property that you purchase in any way, as every deed is recorded and registered in the Lunar Federation’s registration database and every owner’s information is listed with that registration.

4. Why is it so cheap? (Back to Top)

The Lunar Federation has a simple reason. If the product is expensive, not everyone can get an extraterrestrial property, which would take all the fun and romance out of it. This product excites the imagination through the awesome journey into the unknown and we wish to share this with as many people as we can.

5. What guarantee do I have that you don't sell the same property twice? (Back to Top)

There are several billion acres to be sold on the light side of the Moon alone. It looks like we have a few more in stock for centuries of opportunities for purchase. And if they are sold, then, the other side of the Moon will be sold. Needless to say, we are not even close to the time to worry about if we sell the same property twice.

6. What about the rest of the Universe? (Back to Top)

The Lunar Federation only plans to sell land on the Moon and Mars. Those are the only 2 Extraterrestrial bodies in the near future that we will colonize.

7. Will my children inherit the property?

Your children or whomever you so desire can inherit the property. We may not be able to go there and live there yet, but it is certain that one day we will be able to live on planets and Moons in our Solar System. In a hundred years for example, large colonies on the Moon and Mars are almost a certain reality. The Artemis Project is planning a lunar venture and colony, and the Japanese are planning to go to the Moon for commercial purposes. Unquestionably, it is our blood to explore strange new worlds.

8. Can I buy one of the NASA landing sites? (Back to Top)

Unfortunately former NASA sites are not for sale because we adamantly believe that they should remain for the good of all Mankind. This includes the following sites: all the Apollo Landing sites, the Viking and Pathfinder landing sites, the Face and Pyramids of Mars, as well as the crater on the Moon which water has been found, but not yet confirmed. It would be negligent of the Lunar Federation to sell these historic areas and sole natural resources.

NASA in the future can only go so far until the Lunar and Mars governments are established to regulate the exploration and exploitation within its extraterrestrial jurisdictional borders. But for now NASA does not have to abide by any extraterrestrial jurisdictions at this current moment so they are allowed to explore and exploit whatever they so desire. The Outer Space Treaty of 1967 proclaims the Moon as "the heritage of all Mankind, for the purposes of exploration", and that is pretty clear and unambiguous. This means that even if you have your property, if NASA wants to land on it to explore, they can, and they have a perfect legal right to do so (until the Lunar or Mars government is established). If however someone wants to land on your property to do something else, such as build or mine minerals, that is a different issue entirely.  We will relocate your property if you have any parcel that in the near future is a spot for a NASA landing.

This means that as of right now NASA can go where they wish. Apart from that, we at the Lunar Federation have no desire to stop NASA doing what they do best.  After all, without these pioneers, we wouldn't know what the Moon or Mars looks like, never mind be able to sell it.

10. Do you believe in the Prime Directive? (Back to Top)

Yes Lunar Federation believes in the Prime Directive. This is the most prominent guiding principle of the United Federation of Planets. The Prime Directive dictates that there can be no interference with the internal affairs of other civilizations, consistent with the historical real world concept of Westphalian sovereignty.

This is more than just a juvenile rule, but more a philosophy to life. We believe, we all must learn to respect all life, no matter what it looks like or where it came from. Our message is: Live for today because it will never come again.

11. Are you getting rich doing this? (Back to Top)

Many have proposed to us to sell the Moon and Mars properties for a large amount per acre. If it wasn't for the Lunar Federation, that would probably happen. The Lunar Federation's objective is not to get rich doing this but to have fun and dream large. It is the Lunar Federation's intention to allow as many people as possible to obtain property on the Moon and Mars. If the land were expensive, this could not be the case. After all costs: printing costs, registry costs, mailing costs, International phone bills, fax bills and electricity bills, paying our Internet Service provider, paying maintenance on the web server and paying all our employees, we are not getting rich at all. But we assure you, it is a lot of fun and that is it's own reward.

12. What about copycat websites? (Back to Top)

An undesirable side effect with the fame, of course, are the copycat companies, all of which are not legal. They are doing this in a highly irresponsible manner, to the disadvantage of many unsuspecting customer As we stated earlier, that man who claims he personally owns the moon (the looney guy) really doesn’t own the moon and is illegally claiming it. Beware of the frauds in the industry. You have been luckier. You found us first.

All proceeds of the Lunar Federation go towards the joint venture colonization mission to the Moon and Mars so the first Lunar and Mars governments can be established to secure property rights for Lunar Federation’s land owners.

Lunar Questions - Answers

1. Does the Moon have its own laws? (Back to Top)

The Lunar Federation has drafted and introduced a preliminary Lunar and Mars Constitution and Bill of Rights that will be voted on by the first Lunar and Mars colonies.

2. Can I get to the Moon now? Can I see my property? (Back to Top)

Here is a little history for you. Pan-Am used to sell tickets to the Moon. However, unfortunately, Pan Am went out of business. The answer is yes you can go, if you happen to have at least $1 Billion dollars for your own personal rocket launch. So yes you can get to the Moon but it will cost you! For now you can only use a telescope to see your property. The Moon does not rotate itself, and your property is always on the side that faces us which means, if you can see the moon at night then you can see your property.

3. Can I buy one of the Apollo landing sites? (Back to Top)

Unfortunately we will never sell land on these locations. We believe that certain places on the Moon are not for sale because they should remain for the good of all Mankind including all the Apollo Landing sites, as well as the crater on the Moon where water has been found, but not yet confirmed. It would be irresponsible of the Lunar Federation to sell these historic areas and sole natural resources.

Mars Questions - Answers

1. Does Mars have its own laws? (Back to Top)

The Lunar Federation has drafted and introduced a preliminary Lunar and Mars Constitution and Bill of Rights that will be voted on by the first Lunar and Mars colonies.

2. Can I buy one of Mars's Moons? (Back to Top)

The Moons of Mars, Phobos and Deimos, are not yet available for sale. We are doing this one step at a time.

3. Does the Lunar Federation believe in Life on Mars?

We do believe in Life on Mars even if it’s only in microbe form. Whether we believe in other extraterrestrial life, the answer is a firm yes.  With billions and billions of stars out there, the chances of life out there are enormous. If we verify that life has been found on Mars then statistically it implies that the chances of life on other planets outside our solar system have just rose by a factor of about ten billion.
4. Do you support the manned Mission to Mars?

Yes Lunar Federation supports the manned Mission to Mars and goes to our primary objective. A manned mission to Mars has been long overdue. It is just another step on mans unstoppable journey to the Moon, Mars, and Beyond. We admire NASA for making space travel possible. They are true pioneers and heroes to us all.

5. Can I buy the face on Mars?

No you can not purchase the face on Mars. Certain places on Mars are not for sale because we believe that they should remain for the good of all Mankind. Included in the not for sale areas are: the famous 'Face on Mars', as well as the 'Pyramids on Mars'. It would be irresponsible of the Lunar Federation to sell these historic areas.
